Dear niek and others wondering about this ,

I wrote in the first topic ...

31ST AUGUST 2017 23:59:59 EST (FORUM TIME) --- EST is a few hours behind European times. This is why I always write EST (Forum Time) -- this is shown the same to ALL members at the very top right of nearly every forum page (just so you know for future reference)

I will be sure to try and make this clearer in the next one also

If I get chance, I will also try to auto-lock the topic when the deadline is up (if I get time to code it!)

According to the posted time of the final two bids both were made at midnight on the 1st EST. However crzynana would still be the winner as she had the last legal bid made at 11:59 pm on the 31st
