August 2017 - A to Z posting contest - Drinking - No Repeats

Dear Crushers!!!

Welcome to our August 2017 Posting Contest!

This month we have a post-a-thon of "Drinks / Drinking"

This will be in the A thru Z format ... with the name of drink OR related to drinking PLUS something about the name of drink or word you have used ... ...

YOU MUST NOT REPEAT A PREVIOUS ANSWER!! WE WANT NEW AND ORIGINAL ANSWERS FOR EACH ENTRY PLEASE!

To get things kicked off - I'll start off with:

Amaretto is one of the drinks used in an Alabama Slammer cocktail.

RULES

Everyone that makes a valid post will have their names placed into a random drawing where we will giving away 2 x $5 prizes.

We encourage you to post as often as you like, BUT please allow at least 1 post from another member in between!

Contest will end shortly after August 31st 2017

Ballantines , blended scotch whisky ..... you can add any juice you like ,but its also great on the rocks ! My favorite !

C Caipirinha Cocktail Recipe
Categories / Classical Cocktails / Caipirinha ◄►

Ingredients :
- 2 tsp granulated sugar
- 8 limes wedges
- 2 1/2 oz cachaca

Use a "In glass" for Caipirinha drink recipe
Muddle the sugar into the lime wedges in an old-fashioned glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Pour the cachaca into the glass. Stir well.
Serve in "Old-Fashioned Glass" Garnish: No

DIRTY MARTINI -

2 1/2 ounces gin
1/2 ounce dry vermouth
1/4-1/2 ounce olive juice (to taste)
Olive for garnish

The Dirty Martini is a classic cocktail that is a simple and popular variation of the original Gin Martini. The dirty part comes from the use of olive juice, which is really nice with a quality gin and vermouth.

EASTER BUNNY COCKTAIL

1 1/2 OZ DARK CREME DE CACAO
1/2 OZ VODKA
1 TSP CHOCOLATE SYRUP
1 TSP CHERRY BRANDY
USE A SHAKER, SHAKE CREME DE CACAO AND VODKA WITH ICE.
STRAIN OVER ICE IN A OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
FLOAT CHOCOLATE SYRUP AND CHERRY BRANDY,
SERVE IN "OLD-FASHIONED GLASS"

Shot Glass Drink

20 ml of Geranium
20 ml of Galliano - L'Autentico
Tabasco Sauce
Drink Dropper

Pour Galliano into a shot glass and drop a thin layer of Tabasco on top of the Galliano. Gently pour Geranium Gin on the top while preserving the flat line. Drink it all in one shot.

G G-Drink Cocktail Recipe
Categories / Other Drinks / G-Drink ◄►

Ingredients :
- 1 oz cognac
- 2 oz apple juice

Use a "In glass" for G-Drink drink recipe
Pour both ingredients into an old-fashioned glass or rocks glass half-filled with ice cubes, and serve.

K...KAHLUA IS COFFEE LIQUEUR , I USED TO DRINK THIS WITH MILK , WHEN I
SAID I WAS CUTTING BACK ON MY ALCOHOL ABUSE LOL.

Last Out Of The Gate Swizzle
Ingredients
2 parts Cruzan Aged Dark Rum
10 Mint Leaves
¾ part Lime Juice
½ part Demerara Syrup
1 tsp Demerara Sugar
Bitters

Instructions
In a Collins glass, place sugar at the bottom and cover with mint leaves.Lightly muddle for a few seconds. Add rum, lime and syrup to the glass. Using your muddler push the mint to the bottom of the glass. Add crushed ice to the top anduse a spoon to give a quick swirl. Top with a cone of crushed ice and add 6 dashes of bitters, then garnish lavishly with a bouquet of mint leaves.

mad note.........

1 oz. Bacardi Limon
1 oz. Bacardi O (Orange)
4 oz. Sprite or similar
1 splash Orange Juice
1/2 oz. Grenadine

Directions: mix first four well, lots of ice, let settle, pour grenadine, let sink, and enjoy. The more the merrier i always say.
