Sarah, I just saw that there was a 4.2 quake very close to Ottawa and that it was felt in some of the Ottawa neighborhoods.

I hope that you and your family are all safe.

Thus far, no injuries have been reported (thank the lord!).

To tell ya the truth I didn't even know we had an earthquake until I read this post

Just came back from having a wonderful lunch with my Dad and he didn't even mention anything..so of course now the cuiosity begins..gotta go and check out where it was..

Ok here's what I found out:

Buckingham is about 40 mins from where I am..I'm in the west end of Ottawa , so it would probably have been certain parts of the east end of Ottawa near the Quebec Border..Now I am about 10mins from the Quebec Border but the border is hundreds of kilometers long..

I learn somethng new every day being a Crusher..even when it has to do with where I live

From the very short article that I read, it was the Gattineau (sp?) Region where it originated from, which looked to be just the other side of the provincial border. The article only named a few areas of Ottawa and , of course, I didn't know what area you lived.

I hope that those affected are all ok and that the report of no injuries remains the same.

glad to hear your ok , there is way to many e qates and storms ,wildfires. just like in the movie 2012.i notice that 2 weeks before the storm sandy , the russhians sent another space ship up.if you asked me i say that that is causing a lot of the climate changes in the atmostphere. theres been a lot of ships go upand in the past 7 years, my thoughts , ty josie46
