How to fund a Netspend Card using Paypal
If you have a PayPal account, www.paypal.com and a Netspend Card Account. www.netspend.com you can transfer funds from PayPal to your Netspend account with no charges. It generally takes 2 - 3 business days to receive the money in your Netspend account.

Here is how you do it:

Free PayPal transfers

Transfer money from your PayPal account to your All-Access Visa for free. Your money will be available in 2-3 business days.

Setup your NetSpend Card with PayPal (one-time setup):

1. Log in to PayPal account (www.paypal.com). Select "Withdraw".
In the "Withdraw Funds" screen, click "Transfer funds to your bank account".

2. In the "Withdraw Funds by Electronic Transfer" screen, click "Add Bank Account".

3. In the "Add Bank Account (U.S. Bank Accounts Only)" screen, enter this information:
----------
Bank Name: Meta Bank

Account Type: Checking

Routing Number: (check for your routing number and account number in your Netspend Account) https://www.netspend.com/account/paypalTransfer.m

Account Number: same as above

Retype Account Number: same as above
---------
Then click "Add Bank Account".

5. Disregard the "Alert" screen; your Card Account is now set up to receive funds via PayPal.

After setup, transfer funds to your NetSpend Card:

1. Log in to PayPal account (www.paypal.com). Select "Withdraw".

2. In the "Withdraw Funds" screen, click "Transfer funds to your bank account".

3. In the "Withdraw Funds by Electronic Transfer" screen, enter the desired amount, select "META Checking", and click "Continue".

4. Click "Submit" to confirm the transfer.

5. The transaction will appear as "DEPOSIT/CREDIT FROM PAYPAL" in your Account History.

Note:

Transfers must be made in the name of a valid cardholder on this account. If you wish to receive transfers in your spouse's name, for example, you must add a card to this account in your spouse's name. Check your netspend account on how to order an extra card.

The transfer cannot be reversed or cancelled once initiated.

Funds cannot be transferred from your NetSpend Account to PayPal

I have my PayPal account set up where I can transfer funds from PayPal to Netspend and/or my bank account.

I hope this helps!!

in that information it says:

Routing Number: (check for your routing number and account number in your Netspend Account) https://www.netspend.com/account/paypalTransfer.m

Account Number: same as above

Retype Account Number: same as above

I do that and it says:

This bank account is disabled for entry into the PayPal website. Please add a different bank account instead.

If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the two amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driver's license or other photo I.D. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax to (402) 537-5780

but it will not go anywhere from there. When I click continue it takes me back to the add bank page and netspend one is not in the list. No deposits ever get sent to netspend so I do not have that info for them. Please help

Hi Sable, I would call Netspend and ask them since you were following their instructions. Toll-free: 1-86-NETSPEND between 8AM-10PM CDT, Monday through Friday and 8AM-8PM CDT, Saturday and Sunday.

Good Luck hun!

This is probably a REALLY DUMB question, BUT:

Do you use the word "META" or replace it with the real name of your bank?

Thanks for any answers (even sarcastic ones that are probably deserved! lol)

That's my fault RC, I just found out that apparently us folk that live on the western part of the USA use Meta Bank and those of you folk that live on the east side of the USA use a different bank.

So to see for sure what bank you use, simply turn your card over and see what it says. Very Happy hehee

I am on the east coast and the back of my card says meta bank also. But according to some I spoken with twice at netspend, at least for me, paypal has stopped netspend transfers.

That is so strange Sable. I just did a transfer last week and had it in my netspend account on monday.

Well, when you make up your minds, girlfriends, or when you find out which one is strange, Razz , let me know.

My mind is made up .... I'm the strange one!!! Shocked LOL

RC look on the back of your Netspend card and it will tell you the bank name you need to use hun.

So far Sable is the only one that I've heard from that can no longer use paypal to fund her netspend card.

Curiously enough..., I would like to know if, "Paypal per the Netspend Instruction", would that not be the 'Preferred', method for those of us in the USA??., Since, I just changed to, MoneyBookers...because it was suggested as the 'preferred' method here at the CRUSH for us USAers, and now I find that I am not able to use Moneybookers at any of the Casinos even tho they still carry the Moneybookers emblem.?? ...and as I said, I have used Netspend and never had problems using it at any of the casinos!

....And I think this information is very, very useful for us here in the US of A, and I think it as useful in other parts of our planet Earth, too! Very Happy Very Happy

What do you all think???[/size]

It definately is my preferred way of payment Bob and since MoneyBookers has closed the USA from using their funds for gambling, Geno has closed that option.

If you are from the USA you have the option of Paypal, EcoCard, mainly used for our Canada residents (if you are from the USA you can't use Eco card for gambling either however you can send money from Eco to your bank account for a fee of $40, so if you pick this option you might want to wait and build up your contest winnings to off set the fee) or CC Merchandise.

We are no longer using Moneybookers or Quicktender.

I sure wish our government would leave it up to us how we want to spend our hard earned money instead of making it so difficult for us. ugh Sad

Well I can't transfer money from PayPal to Netspend either. I tried and it said it was transferred but then it was cancelled. I think the reason is I don't have a registered bank account with Paypal because that has to be the FIRST bank account. You can't use Netspend as a first bank account.

Some day I may get a bank account when I retire lol because you can do direct deposit with Netspend.

So for now I just withdraw the money from PayPal with my Paypal master card and if I don't spend it first I can then transfer the oney to my Netspend. Of course I have to spend extra money in fees but it still is cheaper than Eco.

I MISS NETELLER ALOT! Life was so much easier then Smile

You must be new to online gambling Valeria. Shocked lol When
I started gambling online and my payment method was PayPal and Western Union. lol

That might be sable's problem, I wonder if she has a bank account registered with paypal besides her netspend account. I've had my bank account connected with paypal since I opened my account and about a year ago put the netspend account on.

Anybody else have input on this, please?

valeria Posted: Mon Aug 18, 2008 9:52 am    Post subject

No I have had PayPal for years but when I moved back to Oregon from Texas I closed my bank account and just never got another one. So I don't have a "real" bank account registered anymore and they told me Netspend can not be considered for a main bank account... so no transactions can be transferred. I think they just want backup by a real bank account LOL

And see you HAVE a real bank account so no problem Smile
